Gratitude and Doing Unexpected Acts of Kindness

I write this post as most of us depending on our beliefs are about to be right smack dab in the middle of another holiday season and I am writing on Gratitude and Act of Kindness now there are many ways to do this and your acts of kindness may differ from mine and I respect you for that. As for me today I did a few things, first thing I did was called up 20 business owners in my area and said Merry Xmas now remember these people did not know me and some I never been to there shops, But I will over time need their services and shop with them . Now the second thing I did for someone today was at the shopping centre I seen a lady having some difficulty backing out of a parking stall it was busy and I am sure she was worried about others in the way. So I guided her back safely so she could continue on her way.

Gratitude and Doing Unexpected Acts of Kindness

The next Paragraph is going to about a visit I did to a local seniors home where I was giving out xmas cards to people just because I want to for no real reason accept to se them smile in gratitude. Now it is a secure complex I did have to ask to be let in by the nursing station and explain what I wanted to to and why and was given permission to continue. I was approaching people saying hello introducing myself as a local business owner  stopping by to to give out cards to anyone who would like one as a unexpected act of kindness it was all going well had met some nice people and gave out about 20 cards. Then as I was writing out a card to someone a man came up and asked who i was and what I was doing, So I kindly explained what I was doing if he could not tell already and I explained I had asked and was given permission to do what I was doing. Now he made some good points I had a coat and hat on in the dinner room and I suppose my manners should have been better and taken them off which I did immediately and this did not help though as he totally ruined the moment for everyone around. So I left the dining hall and went to reception and let them know I was leaving because a few residents were upset I was giving out cards without going through the weekday admin office and blah blah blah. Hence even when your doing a act of kindness people can always ruin the moment with there arrogance and he asked me to listen to him as he explained  himself I assured him no offence was taken wished him a Merry Xmas and was on my way to the next seniors home. I even gave him a business card to give to way admin for his complaint. Wish him the best of luck.

Gratitude and Doing Unexpected Acts of Kindness

In closing I would just like to say everyone has seemed to forget what it is like to have someone be grateful for just having them in there lives, Nobody really talks to one another on the street anymore if you do they look at you like you are going attack or are a weirdo of some sort. Now I do not let people bother me with there silly feelings about it because more people appreciate my kind jesters than repel me. It makes me feel great doing things for people and asking nothing in return and I will continue to do as many kind deeds daily as possible to put smiles on those that may not be at the moment. This is why I have a greeting card and gifting business, Just can't stop having the attitude of Gratitude.

Marketing Your Business With Cards & Gifts

To have your  your business wether it be  large or small steadily grow, you may have to use every possible way to make sure that your customer and or client  base is increasing on a ongoing steady rate basis and that you are able to keep and have them return to your business.  Many businesses  are able to get easy recognition in the marketplace for their business, by sending out A heart felt thank-you card or note to the customer and or giving away freebies as Promo Gifts, which is recognized as an effective tool for marketing. But such campaigns in the form of Cards & Gift Promotions should not not cut to deeply into your monthly marketing budget and thus it is imperative that you know how to economize and plan these giveaways, while knowing that they will bring back your customers without burning up all your promotional budget.

Marketing Your Business With Cards & Gifts
Many business people offer their merchandise to potential clients free of charge, to familiarize them with their products. This will serve to entice the customers back to the business to deal with those who sent them a thank-you card or note and possibly a gift as-well. It is possible to think of any number of ways to send out cards or promo gifts and such items will bring returns over time this is a ongoing strategy which has proven itself to work

Marketing Your Business With Cards A Gifts

Business decisions to give away gifts and send out a thank-you card will not be hampered by financial considerations when using SendOutCards it is very reasonably priced and all done from you computer, no doubt, but you can save a lot if you consider the following suggestions:
  1. Be clear headed on what type of Gift that you would like to use as giveaways. You should use clear thinking while deciding on the nature of gifts and to whom they would be given. Here lies a good foundation for further your business by the impression you create with your customer and clients. You can choose low priced  Gifts, which can be of great use to people who receive it.
  2. Before launching your campaign, ensure that you have a fixed budget and this will make things easier for deciding the number of Cards & Gifts that you would like to distribute to your network. Monitor the budget and don't overshoot it.
  3. If you can team up with  sponsor to help you in savings costs you are likely to be within your planned budget. Many business people would like to become partners with other business people to share the cost of Cards & Gifts, which will in fact open up their own marketing avenues. Thus, both yourself and your sponsors can reduce the cost of the Cards &  Gifts, and enjoy the benefits together.
  4. Apart from monitoring your advertising budget on your Card & Gifts campaign, you should also reach out to targeted customers, who can bring you business and profit. This alone will help you recover the costs of Promo and thus giveaways are literally an investment for future profits.

What the heck is SendOutCards?
SendOutCards is an Internet-based service that is changing people’s lives.
Do you ever go to the storeto buy a paper greeting card? If you do ... read on!
Profiled in 2009 as one of the fastest growing companies in the country today by Inc 500 magazine, when you need to send a card to someone, go online to the SendOutCards site where you’ll find 15,000 cards in 50 different categories. Or, make your own card out of a digital picture. You can upload a bunch of pictures inside of the card, too. How cool is that!

Choose your card, write your personal message, and click “SEND”! That’s it!! SendOutCards then prints, addresses, stuffs, seals and stamps the card with a real first-class stamp and mails it for you at the Post Office, all for about a dollar. You never touch a piece of paper, printer, stamp or envelope or have to drive to the card store or post office. Send one card or hundreds of the same card with a single mouse click. All this for about one-fifth the price of a nice greeting card at the store! The system even tells you when someone’s birthday is coming up ... 7 days ahead ... so you’ll actually get a card to them on time.
You can even include a Gift Card or send a Gift with your personalized card. Oh, and did I mention that you get your own handwriting font and signatures with your account? It’s beyond cool!

 Motor Vehicle Winterization

Motor Vehicle Winterization - For City Home Owners

Just want to touch on a few things that should be in every  vehicle ready for a breakdown or being caught in sudden weather change during winter months as we are now  approaching  winter in many areas of the vast planet we live on with winter already covering many places with a white blanket. Here are somethings to consider having on but not limited to

  • Blankets or sleeping bag
  • Flares or reflective triangle
  • Folding shovel
  • First-Aid kit
  • Water
  • Flashlight
  • Change for Pay phone
  • Sand or Kitty litter for traction
  • Distress sign
  • Chocolate bars for energy
  • Fire Extinguisher
  • Spare fuses
  • Warm clothes and hat & Gloves
  • Boots
  • Basic tools  i.e. Socket set wrenches  and pliers  as well as a multi screwdriver

Motor Vehicle Winterization - Additional items for long distance travel

  • Coolant hose repair kit and tape A leaking coolant hose can sideline your vehicle quickly and possibly cause engine damage from overheating. Often, a leaking hose is a simple fix if you have the right items. They can be bought at any major auto-parts store.
  • Extra clothes and small tarpaulin Even if all you do is change a tire, these items can help keep your regular clothes clean.
  • Water and nonperishable emergency food Bring enough food and water to sustain you and any passengers for at least a meal, longer for remote areas or in extreme hot/cold regions.
  • CB radio If your route will take you into an area where cellular service is spotty, consider a portable or in-car CB radio.
  • GPS navigation system This is an optional item, but good to have when traveling to new areas.

Motor Vehicle Winterization - Pre-trip inspection

Now that we all know what we should have in our vehicles for around the city and short trips and as well as long-distance travel. I like to sum it up with a pre/post trip inspection list as follows

  • Hood and latch
  • Bumpers and grill
  • Signals
  • Brakes
  • Wipers
  • Coolant levels
  • Fuel level
  • Tires
  • Exhaust system

Sunday

Typical Work Day

My day usually starts about 4:30am or 5:00am in the morning checking email and getting back to any requests for more information on working with Me and my team. Then I exercise 20 minutes and have a short walk before shower and breakfast, at this point I am ready to dig in and really get down and busy I will log in to my Company account see if there is any Birthdays or Anniversaries  for the day and there usually is a few and then at that point I am ready to design a card for each of them inside my SendOutCards Account where I have full control on what kind of card they receive. There is over 17,000 pre made cards that are just beautiful, But I usually will make one from a blank card adding pictures and then finding a verse to add or even write one just for them.

By this time of the day it is about 7am and I am ready to start making calls for the day on a busy day I will call either about 50 business professional or make  about 100-150 cold calls using leads. This has been a long road getting to this point that is for sure many hours in online training calls and coaching calls and even Chamber of commerce meetings for speed networking. Now I do not work all day usually till around noon then a lunch break and any errands I may need to do. The best part is checking to see if anyone has sent me any cards or post cards to thank me for any thing if not thats okay to because It is not all about me right I enjoy making cards and sending gifts oh yes I send gifts to but will save that for another post.

Typical Work Afternoon

I will have been busy up to this point now I will go and do any presentations I have scheduled it depends on the day how many I have although 2-5 is a normal number for me now this could include any 3 way calls with other team members as well. Now presentations are are done only with people that make appointments ore have requested more information on making and sending cards on there own. I find many members of the general public like making there own cards and choosing there own gifts, so i will set them up with a 15 min presentation on how they can do it and this will come with a gift account to send out 3 cards on us St.Albert Cards & gifts, if they like it and they usually do they can upgrade to a live account. Now for business owners it is pretty much the same process after my cold visit or call the interested business owner will have a chance to have a presentation or a 3 way call with one of my business partners  maybe even another business already involved with us we have a few businesses that started out as customers and other people in there circle of trust liked the cards they were receiving and requested information and this is where they send them to us and our customer base grows, But if they become a partner there customer base grows. More on this in the future, now this usually takes up until 5pm or 6pm.

Typical Work Evening

I know most of you have family and friends and probably do not work into the evening after a long day, But being a Network Marketing Professional it takes sometimes years of dedication and long hours to achieve the Dream Lifestyle we all want like living and working from the beaches of the world or fishing the rivers and streams of the world how sweet is that hey. Well that is all possible with the four year career. Well the evening session is not to long for me anymore usually 10pm or 11pm making more calls and call backs and making appointments. It all comes together in time as you work your business on a consistent basis it will grow and somedays get so hectic it drives me into overdrive thinking about the possibility of working from anywhere in the world on any hotel balcony or beach house veranda of my choosing.

PS.  Thats pretty much it today if you like this post feel free to repost or tweet it to your followers

Small Scale Composting

Small Scale Composting -For City Home Owners

Today were going to talk about Small Scale Composting for home owners in the city and suburbs where many home owners to are trying to do there part in recycling household wast to cut costs on the garbage pick-up cost. many towns and cities alike have waste containers and garbage containers but there is a cost to pick it up , But there is a alternative to having the city pick it up you can have your own recycling refuse container and use the produced soil in your gardens to help with the balancing of the natural nutrients need for healthy plants ,shrubs and vegetables. There is many kinds on the market today to choose from and even there is many styles of homemade ones as well

Small Scale Composting Containers

Now as for what containers you buy will depend on how big your family or household is as it takes time for the enzymes to do there work you can speed things along with adding some red wrigglers a kind of worm used for composting, but regular everyday garden variety works well too. Many garden shops and home centres will have containers you can buy and even if you go online these day you can just look for them there as well. One thing is for sure you will need it to have a cover to keep birds and small animals out of it and making a mess around your yard and even if you use a piece of plywood or even chicken wire so that when it rains it is being kept moist as you will have to add water to help it along. There is going to be a few things you will need to do as well like turn it over add a little top soil and keep it moist. sometimes it is better to have two or even three containers on the go as you can keep on rotating the ones that are ready to be used over the year. It will depend on wich climate your in as how many and how often you are able to use your competed material.

Small Scale Composting and general guidelines

Now many people will usually use a ice-cream bucket or old coffee can or something similar to collect the wast from inside your home.Thing you can use are any vegetable waste and any other organics, But stay away from rotting meats as this will attract cats, dogs and rodent to your yard or garden these can be used if kept in a air tight container and kept moist or cover but best to just stay away from using meats. Any outdoors leaves ,grass clipping and foliage can be added just remember to keep it moist and turn it over and over. Using these general guidelines for Small Scale Composting you will be well on your way to a healthy garden If you like this post please comment above and post
